USING WIRELESS NETWORKS ON ANDROID DEVICES THROUGH HOTSPOT AND WIFI

Earlier on, I posted a tutorial on how to setup bbm on tablets. There, I made mention of wireless network through hotspot and wifi. But so many readers do not know how to work with wireless network on android.

Here, we will talk on how to setup a wireless network and how to connect to a wireless network on android devices.

HOW TO SETUP A WIRELESS NETWORK ON ANDROID THROUGH HOTSPOT

Switch on your hotspot. Goto your settings or use
the system tray to do that.

on Android 4.0
-go to 'Settings'
-Click 'More...'
-Click 'Tethering & portable hotspot'
-Click 'Configure Wi-Fi hotspot'
Enter your preferred network name
Choose Security level. Whether open or secure.
An open network, as the name implies, is free for anyone to connect even  without your knowledge; while a secure one has a password to keep it safe so no one can connect without your permission. Also, there are two types of secured network viz: WPA PSK and WPA2 PSK.
If you chose the secure type, enter your password to keep your network safe.

-Click 'Save'

Other versions will have slight difference. but common sense and trial can see you through.

HOW TO CONNECT TO A WIRELESS NETWORK THROUGH WIFI
-Go to settings.
-Switch on your wifi. Slide the bar in front of the wifi across or do that from the system tray.
-Click on the name of the network you want to connect to.
If the network is protected with a password, enter the password. Contact the owner of the network to get the password.

-Then, Click connect.

Now you are good to go.
